Hult Prize is the world’s biggest engine for the launch of for-good, for-profit startups emerging from university with over 2500 staff and volunteers around the world. In nearly a decade, the movement has deployed more than $50M of capital into the sector and mobilized more than one million young people to re-think the future of business as it continues to breed disruptive innovation on college and university campuses across 100 plus countries. The Hult Prize Foundation been called the”Nobel Prize for Students” and has been featured in a TIME Magazine Cover Story highlighting the “Top 5 Ideas Changing the World.”

The Hult Prize India is the largest National Program of the Hult Prize, the UN partner and the world's largest student's social entrepreneurship award. The Hult Prize India is managed by Aravindam Foundation (Education), and Aster (Ideation Hub), committed to promote innovation by students in India, to solve the world's most pressing problems.

'Innovate, Create, a New India and a New World'.

The Idea to come up with an innovative solution to Harness the power of energy in order to Impact the lives of 10 million people with a $ 1 million seed capital gave Team Solartrix from our College, the impetus to create an affordable and efficient Solar water heater to improve the rural and urban Lifestyle.

This team under the Mentorship of Mr. Anupam Kumar( Professor CSE ) and  Comprising of Ayush Garg ( Team Leader), Prashansa Khandelwal, Ganesh Gulati all from 3rd Year CSE department and Shivam Kaushik from 3rd year Mechanical Department won the Hult Prize India National Finals 2018 held at IIT Delhi on 8th April 2018.

The Team went through the rigorous selection process and shortlisting out of 300 participating teams from various Institutes such as IIT’s, IIM’s, NSIT, DTU, IIIT’s, ISB, NIT’s, BITS etc. Top 100 teams pitched on 7th April 2018 at The Circles, Gurugram in 6 different groups each judged by various judges and mentors from the different Sectors of the country.

Top 8 teams from these groups went through to the finals, where they pitched in front of top judges from Government, Industry, Academic, Investor and political Community. Two Teams from MAIT made it to the finals held at IIT Delhi on 8th April 2018 where Team Solartrix finally won this competition.

The Team is all set to represent the country for 6 weeks in London for the Hult Accelerator Prograin July – August  2018.Top Six of the 40 teams coming to London from all over the world will get chance to pitch in United Nations for 1 million Dollars.
