Annual Day Celebration at MAIT Annual Day was organized at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology on14th March 2019. The occasion was graced by Shri Hari Chand Aggarwal as Chief Guest and Shri Karnal Singh as Guest of Honour. The other distinguished guests Dr. Nand Kishore Garg( Founder Chairman and Chief Advisor MATES), Shri Prem Sagar Goel, Chairman, MATES, Er. T.R. Garg, General Secretary MATES, Shri Umesh Garg, Vice Chairman, MATES, Shri Mohan Garg, Jt. General Secretary MATES, trustees of MATES and senior academicians graced the occasion. The event started with lighting of lamps and invocation of goddess Saraswati. Shri Prem Sagar Goel, Chairman in his address recalled the journey of MATES in setting up MAIT, MAIMS and Maharaja Agrasen University. He highlighted the memories during the journey and importance of efforts of Trustees and Founder Chairman and chief adviser Dr. Nand Kishore Garg. Prof. Dr. Neelam Sharma, Director MAIT, welcomed all the guests and presented Annual Report of MAIT. She highlighted all the achievements of students and faculties of MAIT that included NBA accreditation of CSE, ECE and MAE department. Six teams of MAIT won Smart India Hackathon and Team from MAE won Automobile Competition.Many faculty members delivered FDP sessions, attended conferences, seminars and published research papers and books. In her address she also mentioned the events and functions organized by MAIT during last one year. The event was followed by address of chief guest Shri Hari Chand Aggarwal. He highlighted the importance of education, learning and entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to focus on value based educational and hard work. Guest of Honour Shri Karnal Singh mentioned that importance of discipline and results based hard work and mentioned that one should be honest to the job he/she is responsible for. He also mentioned that one should also focus on Nation’s Service and giving back to society. Dr Nand Kishore Garg, Founder Chairman and Chief Advisor MATES addressed the audience and with his wisdom and mentioned the relevance of national integrity and encouraged youth to take responsibility and contribute in nation building. He also mentioned that Society has contributed Rs. 32 lacs to Kerala victims and Rs. 21 lacs to Pulwama- Attack victims. He congratulated all the top rankers and university toppers for their academic achievements. The event was followed up by prize distribution to all the meritorious students of MAIT Ms Anamika Rohtagi and Mr. Satvik Gaur of MAIT obtained 2nd and 3rd position in GGSIPU.
